The Mahoney Group Expands its Board of Directors

Mesa, Ariz., Aug. 29, 2022: The Mahoney Group, one of the largest independent insurance and employee benefits brokerages in the U.S., has added three members to its Board of Directors. With these additions, the company’s Board now has seven members.

The expansion is part of the 107-year-old employee-owned organization’s perpetuation strategy and commitment to remain independent.

The new board members are:

  • Jason Andrade, Employee Benefits Practice leader and partner, with more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, including eight years with The Mahoney Group;
  • Marc Matson, Tribal Practice leader and partner, a 17-year employee with the company, and
  • Guffy Wright, Real Estate Practice leader and partner, a 15-year employee of The Mahoney Group.

The other board members are Executive Vice President David Cummard, Executive Vice President Bob Rice, Treasurer/Secretary Brad Rucker, and CEO and Chairman Steve Goble.

“Each of our new board members is absolutely committed to keeping The Mahoney Group independent and in private hands,” Goble said. “We have exciting plans for our growth over the balance of this decade and beyond. I’ll be counting on them to act as watchdogs for our company and as a sounding board to me and our leadership team in the years ahead.”
